Balad Condemns Gag Order on Bishara Activities
The Arab-Israeli Balad party condemned a court decision Sunday to continue a gag order on the activities of Balad Chairman and Knesset Member Azmi Bishara, claiming the order is part of a “cover-up” campaign against the MK.
Bishara left Israel three weeks ago for an undetermined length of time, traveling first to Jordan and then to Europe. He reportedly arrived in Qatar on Sunday. The Balad Chairman reportedly signed a letter of resignation from his post last week in the wake of allegations that he is under investigation for criminal activity.
Bishara has been at the forefront of incitement by Arab MKs against the State of Israel, traveling to meet with leaders of enemy nations and expressing support for the Hizbullah terrorists who warred against Israel in Lebanon last summer.
