(IsraelNN.com) Members of the opposition Likud party rejected comments by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that he is willing to discuss with Arab League members the 2002 peace plan they re-approved in their recent meeting.

“Olmert’s failing government that has lost the public trust long ago, has no public legitimacy to make any diplomatic moves whatsoever,” said one senior Likud official.

Olmert on Sunday reiterated previous comments that the 2002 Arab peace plan has “positive elements.” The government rejected the plan when it was presented in 2002.
