Defense Minister Amir Peretz insisted Sunday morning that the Defense Ministry should be the only address for Home Front management during national emergencies.

Peretz said “The last war uncovered years of neglect that resulted in a lack of preparedness and fortification problems,” contending that the IDF is the only body that is competent to control Home Front operations.
