Mofaz Slams Olmert Willingness to Talk With Arab League (IsraelNN.com) Transportation Minister and former Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz on Sunday slammed Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s public willingness to meet for talks with Arab League representatives.
Mofaz said at a Kadima faction meeting in Jerusalem that the Arab League is an extremist organization with which the Israeli government should not negotiate. Minister Meir Sheetrit supported Olmert’s position; however, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni was more guarded in her approval, stating that Israel should limit its talks with Arab League members who are considered to be moderate nations. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
