A recent poll published by the Jerusalem Media and Communications Center showed that of 42.2% of adults living in Palestinian Authority-controlled Gaza do not read the newspaper. 441 people were surveyed in the poll.

The numbers were higher in parts of Judea and Samaria controlled by the PA. Over 70% of Arabs living in those areas reported reading the newspaper on a regular basis. However, television was still the most common source of information, and the one considered most reliable. Of those who watched television, over 48% said that they consider Al-Jazeera to be the most reliable source of news.
