The Temple Mount Faithful organization, whose members are demonstrating in Jerusalem’s Old City on Thursday, told Arutz Sheva that “everything begins from the Temple Mount.” Organization head Gershon Solomon explained that if the Temple Mount was to be lost to the Jewish people, it would lead to the loss of Jerusalem and then the loss of the entire land of Israel.

Group members said that the Mount is in fact in danger, and claimed that Israeli politicians have secretly attempted to give control of the Mount to Jordan. Solomon claimed that he knew of contacts between Israeli and Jordanian officials in the matter, and lamented what he called a lack of action by right-wing and religious officials.

Members are demonstrating near the Temple Mount while wearing orange clothing and carrying Israeli flags. They will attempt to enter the Mount itself, which police have prevented in the past.
