The Hamas terrorist group won the student union elections in Bir Zeit University, the largest Arab university in Judea and Samaria. Hamas won 22 seats in the Bir Zeit elections, while rival terrorist group Fatah won 21 seats. Other terrorist groups won the remaining eight seats.
The victory came briefly after the Hamas victory in the Hevron University student union elections, and the Hamas victory last week in the Teachers Union elections. Hamas won the student elections in Shechem as well, winning 21 seats in the student union, while Fatah won 19.
