Police have managed to forcibly expel approximately 200 activists from the town of Homesh in the northern Shomron. Around 100 activists remain at this time. Many have spread out over neighboring hilltops, making themselves difficult to capture.
In order to avoid violence, police officers have not been allowed to bring their batons to the site of the expulsion. Police mounted on horseback are present, but will enter Homesh only in case of an emergency.
The organizers of the return to Homesh expressed determination despite the expulsion. They will return again and again, they said, until Homesh is rebuilt.
