The IDF is blocking the entrance of provisions to activists who marched to Homesh Monday. The army hopes that the marchers will leave by tomorrow afternoon due to a lack of food in the once thriving Jewish community destroyed by the Israeli government during the Disengagement.
National Union Chairman MK Uri Ariel addressed the issue Tuesday, stating, "The IDF isn't allowing food and water in to the Israeli citizens, including women and children, in Homesh. This is a grave and inhumane act. Even Arafat was provided with food in his Ramallah compound."
Ariel demanded that the IDF release the siege. "I call on the military to authorize the transfer [of food] immediately," said Ariel.
