"We speak with the Palestinians about the need to change the school books, cease the incitement and show a map that has Israel inside it," US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told Congress Wednesday. "It is not enough to say you want peace," she added. "You need to work for peace and prepare your people for peace."

In a hearing before the House Appropriations Subcommittee, Rice spoke about the plan to transfer $86 million directly to Mahmoud Abbas' security force, and admitted the administration could not guarantee that all of the money would indeed reach its target.
