(IsraelNN.com) Explosions heard last night (Monday) from northern Gaza were Hamas exercises being held in the former territory of Jewish settlements Elei Sinai and Dugit, according to a WND report. The report says Israeli security officials at first feared the blasts were terrorist attacks, but later confirmed they were carried out by terror groups within Gaza.

Hamas terrorist named Abu Abdullah told WND that the blasts were part of a Hamas training exercise. He said that his organization had turned the area of former Jewish communities in northwestern Gaza into "advanced training zones," which he said include areas for physical exercises, weapons training, practice in navigation skills and ambushes, production and use of explosives and various other military techniques.
