Recently appointed Israeli Arab Minister of Science, Culture and Sport Raleb Majadle says the Jewish State must negotiate with the new Palestinian Authority unity government, which has again refused to recognize the State of Israel.

Majadle, a long-time member of the Labor party, said that “Half of the (PA) cabinet members are Olso [Accords] people who have already signed agreements with Israel,” adding that it is a mistake to reject Fatah ministers who have shown a past commitment to a negotiated peace.

The new PA government, which unites the Fatah and Hamas terrorist factions, still refuses to meet international demands to recognize the State of Israel, renounce violence or openly commit to homor past agreements signed with the Jewish State.

Majadle also said Saturday that he refuses to sing the Israel national anthem, HaTikvah.
