Two United Nations soldiers were stuck in a minefield in the Golan on Saturday afternoon. The soldiers lost control over their jeep, which swerved off of the road and into the field. Only after the jeep had traveled dozens of meters did the soldiers realize that they were in a minefield.
The soldiers called for help, and were warned by police not to leave their vehicle. Police and soldiers worked together to free the two, and managed to safely remove the jeep from the field within two hours.
