Israel Concerned About Jordanian Stability (IsraelNN.com) Israeli intelligence officials are concerned that Jordan’s monarchy could become unstable if the United States fails to defeat terrorists in Iraq. A report was submitted recently to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in which officials detailed problems that could ensue following a hasty American withdrawal from the region.
Israel considers a stable Jordanian regime to be a top strategic priority.
