Pensioners Party MKs Tour Negev
Members of Knesset from the Gil Pensioners Party toured the Negev on Friday, visiting local farms. The tour was meant to promote proposed laws that would strengthen Jewish farmers in the region. MK Itzhak Ziv said that he welcomes the Jewish farmers who come to the Negev to conquer the land, and warned that if it were not for them, the land would be controlled by Bedouin Arabs.
Shmulik Rifman, the head of the Ramat HaNegev regional council, expressed appreciation for the Gil Pensioners MKs. Of all the major parties, he said, only the Pensioners understand the importance of the Land of Israel and are willing to take responsibility for the farmers’ welfare.
