Snow has begun to fall in the northern Golan Heights and the Upper Galilee hills as a late winter storm intensifies. Heavy rain was reported in Tel Aviv and in Jerusalem, where snow is expected to fall later in the morning, but no accumulation is forecast.

Gale force winds, hail and thunderstorms led the storm as it swept through the southern Hevron Hills and northern Negev. A flash flood warning has been issued for the Judean hills and Arava.
