Junior and senior high schools (grades 7-12) in Jerusalem, Mevaseret Zion, Maale Adumim, Givat Ze'ev, Gush Etzion, Beit Shemesh, the Jordan Valley, Ma'aleh Ephraim, Binyamin, Modiin, Maccabim, Re'ut and Ashkelon remained closed due to a strike by the Secondary School Teachers Association Tuesday.

The teachers are demanding a better wage schedule and more early retirement packages.
