School Strike In Jerusalem Tuesday
(IsraelNN.com) High school teachers plan to rotate their strike to Jerusalem on Tuesday after having shut down Tel Aviv area schools Monday. They have charged the Finance Ministry with dragging out negotiations.
Schools also will be closed Tuesday in the Beit Shemesh, Binyamin region, Ma'aleh Adumim, Givat Ze'ev, Mevasseret Tzion, Efrat and other areas in Gush Etzion, Kiryat Arba and in the Jordan Valley.
Tel Aviv University students struck the institution Monday and plan to continue the strike on Tuesday in protest of proposed government reforms, which they say will result in high tuitions.
