Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas demanded from Prime Minister Ehud Olmert Sunday more "good will" measures, including the removal of more checkpoints in Judea and Samaria.

Abbas also promised a return to relative calm despite the recent escalation of stoning and firebombing attacks on Israeli vehicles. If Abbas can halt rocket attacks from Gaza, as he promised last November, the two leaders will discuss in their next meeting extending the truce, which would mean a halt in counter-terrorist operations by Israel.
