The Palestinian Authority Interior Ministry's "Executive Force" arrested a woman Thursday who it says led and trained a women's gang which stole women's handbags at weddings and in public places.
In her interrogation, the suspect – identified in a report by a local news agency by the initials A.D. – reportedly said that "while everybody is pre-occupied, I sneak into the women's changing room and steal handbags, then I hand them to another woman before the entire booty is divided between the gang members."
The Executive Force said in a statement that A.D. had given information about a large number of women who had become professional thieves. The woman was reportedly "caught red-handed" near the Karamah towers in Gaza City.
