Politicians and the media still are trying to digest the report from Channel 2 television that the Winograd Commission will not issue its full report on the war against Hizbullah for another four months and that its interim report this month will not concern individual responsibility.

If no warnings are given to individuals that a probe could damage them, there is no way to prosecute anyone responsible for failures.

National Union Knesset Member Effie Eitam said that it "is clear" that the Winograd Commission report will be harsh and will criticize Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Amir Peretz. "They should take responsibility...and resign as soon as possible," MK Eitam said.
