Counter-terrorism operations in Shechem proceeded apace Sunday afternoon, as IDF soldiers sealed the main entrance to the city, imposing a curfew on 50,000 residents.
According to Palestinian Authority sources, seven PA Arabs who were hurling rocks at the soldiers were lightly injured in clashes during the operation.
Two IDF soldiers were lightly injured by shrapnel in a firebombing attack by Arabs who were rioting in the city. The army did not give a specific deadline for lifting the curfew and sources said operations would continue until the constant terror threats emanating from the city had been eliminated.
