Defense Minister Amir Peretz is prepared to "go all the way" and use "full force" to demolish hilltop communities that the government deems illegal, his aides said. He previously has set several timetables to tear down the communities, but that all the previous deadlines have passed.



Sources close to the Defense Minister said this time he is ready to implement his plan, even if it means a confrontation with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. They added that efforts to reach a compromise on the issue with nationalist leaders have failed.
