Rabbis from the organization “The Council to Save the People and the Land” turned to former Police Commissioner Moshe Karadi and offered him an opportunity to remove “the curse of the expulsion” which they say is on him. Karadi quit his position as Police Commissioner on Sunday after the Zeiler Commission accused him of misconduct and recommended that his tenure not be extended.
According to the rabbis, those responsible for the expulsion of Jews from their homes in Gaza and the northern Shomron have a curse on them, and are likely to face a severe punishment. Karadi’s recent troubles are an example of this, they say.
The rabbis said that Karadi, and anyone who regrets their participation in the expulsion, should express sincere regret to their victims and to God. If they like, they can send their names to the rabbis, who will pray for their safety at the Western Wall.
