(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with the Israel Olympic Committee, Science and Sport Ministry officials, tennis star Shahar Peer and yachtsmen Gidi Kliger and Udi Gal. The athletes discussed their training toward the Beijing international Olympics next year, for which the Olympic committee requested additional funds.
The Prime Minster agreed to the request, saying that "it is important that our athletes train properly in order to attain achievements on behalf of the country."
