(IsraelNN.com) A web site for the Sanhedrin-affiliated Special Court For Matters Concerning The Nation and the State has issued a statement warning that a Jerusalem Post report claiming the court had ruled that Central Command Major-General Yair Naveh has the Jewish legal status of a moser was “pure media distortion.”

The site says a summons to the court was indeed sent to Naveh, explaining that his issuing "preventative restraining orders" against Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria was breaking Jewish laws, some of which carry serious spiritual repercussions.

The summons praised Naveh’s positive work with the IDF, but said does not obscure the tears of one child or wife of the men distanced from their homes without trial.

The letter was signed by justices Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, Rabbi Reuven Hass, Rabbi Yehudah Edri , Rabbi Eidua Alba and Rabbi Prof. Hillel Weiss.
