Officially, the State of Israel is NOT sovereign over the high lands of Judea and Samaria (AKA the West Bank), rather the region is governed by military rule. But, despite support by Prime Minister Netanyahu (as recent as January) for a 2-state solution, many of the current Israeli government ministers oppose his policy and openly voice support to annex all of or part of this region, and apply full Israeli sovereignty.
