No matter your opinion of Donald Trump, all have to agree that no one can make news the way he can.

The recent Republican National Convention in Cleveland was high on drama. I have never seen every aspect, nuance, and detail of a convention analyzed, criticized and praised as much as the "Trump Convention". And true to form, Donald Trump's hour and 16 minute speech was a masterpiece of drama and power. It did not disappoint. It was viewed by 32.2 million people which was more than the 30.3 million who viewed Mitt Romney's acceptance speech in 2012.

He made it clear that he will be the "Law and Order" President. This election has already moved from the Economy to Law and Order and National Security very quickly. It started in San Bernardino on December 2nd 2015 when 14 people were killed and 21 injured by ISIS adherents. It moved then to Orlando on June 12th of this year where 49 people were killed by an ISIS follower. Then violence struck Law enforcement personnel in Dallas. Five Policemen were killed and seven other policemen were injured by Micah Johnson. On the eve of the convention three Baton Rouge Policemen were killed by Gavin Eugene Long. History is moving into Trump's alley.

Fear is a greater driving force than the pocket book. The economy cannot be sustained if fear is gripping the Street. Donald Trump hit a Home Run by declaring himself the Law and Order Candidate. This was a brilliant move. Rudy Giuliani set the tone and the stage on the first night of the Convention. He declared, "What happened to, 'there is no black America, there's no white America, there is just America?'" He also said "what I did for New York, Donald Trump will do for America." Even the use of the Trump family which seemed to rankle CNN and CNBC worked positively. America fell in love with Ivanka. She was so poised and well spoken that America had to pay attention. Yes, I heard many calls for her future candidacy for President of the United States. Indeed, she may very well become America's first woman President. Who knows?  The fact that Donald Trump said, "We must work with all of our allies who share our goal of destroying ISIS and stamping out Islamic terror.

This includes working with our closest ally in the region, the State of Israel." should have pleased the Pro-Israel Camp. He will no doubt treat Israel as a true and respected ally. It will be a far cry from the Obama Years where Israel was treated as a pariah state. One thing that Donald Trump perfected is the ability to make news 24/7. This is how he was able to defeat not only the largest field of candidates ever but also the best and the brightest. They did not have a chance against him. The cameras and the media were focused upon his every move. The other 16 Republican candidates could not get a word in edge wise. Hillary will face the same thing. It is precisely this fact that the media will pay more attention to Donald Trump than to her that scares her the most. If the media is paying attention to Mr. Trump then they are not paying attention to Hillary Clinton. This will frustrate her more than anything. No other candidate could upstage her this way other than Donald Trump.

Even negative news is not always negative in a campaign especially in Trump's World. Donald Trump knows this better than anyone. This is especially true in the New World of Reality TV where the foibles and faux pas' of people are focused upon. People like to see a candidate that they can relate to. Donald Trump is a street fighter. He has no pretenses. He is real. He is fresh. He is high drama. America loves heroes. I believe they found one in Donald Trump.
