Why are Jews not already living in "Beit Machpelah"?!!

Originally from Petersburg, Virginia, Ben Packer moved to Israel in 1999, where he served in the IDF's Givati Brigade in the Gaza Strip. Ben served as a Rabbi on campus at Univ. of North Carolina and at Duke Univ. Ben now serves as Director of the Jerusalem Heritage House (www.heritagehouse.org.il) and Co-Director of Young Jewish Conservatives (www.youngjewishconservatives.org). He lives in the Old City of Jerusalem with his wife and 6 children....

Without compiling exact numbers, its safe to say that hardly any city/community has been more affected by the current wave of arab terror than the Jewish Community of Hevron. Attacks have occurred virtually daily there at times. The efforts of the IDF in Hevron have been valiant and heroic. (Disclaimer: I served in the Tzabar Battalion of Givati - currently stationed in Hevron and eliminating terrorists left and right!)

Of course the most impressive heroes in Hevron continue to be the Jewish residents. They consistently hold the line for the Jewish People and courageously protect access for Jews to the City and to the Tomb of the Patriarchs. Whatever praise and thanks we can offer them will never be sufficient.

In the past few years, Jewish residents of Hevron successfully purchased a building now known as "Beit Machpelah". It is virtually impossible to believe that this purchase was not legitimate. Despite this, the rightful Jewish owners were forcibly and unjustifiably evicted from the premises by then-Defense Minister Ehud Barak in 2012. At the time, Prime Minister Netanyahu "urged" that the Jewish owners be able to stay, but his boss Barak evicted anyway

The bureaucracy continues and the Jewish owners have not been allowed to move back in to their property. WHY!!!! Ehud Barak is no longer in the Government (Thank G-d!)! Is there any evidence that they don't own this house? Is there any reason to believe that if evidence does emerge that invalidates their claim (G-d forbid) that the police would be unable to evict them again? Did the majority of Israeli voters not desire a "right-wing" government? If so, why are Ehud Barak's leftist and defeatist decisions still being implemented?

The Jewish Community of Hevron deserves eternal praise and reward for their self-sacrifice on behalf of the Jewish People, WHY is our "right-wing" Government and their constituents unable or unwilling to provide them with basic justice and fairness?!! WHY!!!
