With Israeli Elections around the corner, it is important to analyze the reasons Hamas remains a thorn in Israel's side. There is no question Hamas suffered a very serious blow militarily after Operation Protective Edge. The Prime Minister should be commended for trying hard to rid Israel and the world of the Hamas Terror Menace.

Minister Naftali Bennett should be applauded for pushing and persuading the Prime Minister to attack the Terror Tunnels which if left intact would have brought catastrophe to Israel. The President of the United States for his part did not help the situation. He refused to send munitions, spare parts, and other military hardware two weeks into the war. Without help from the U.S., Israel could not sustain a continued barrage of Gaza and a boots on the ground invasion which would be necessary to finish the job once and for all. The idea of bombing Hamas into submission worked partially but they unfortunately are still standing ready to wage the next round. Without running them out of town, they will continue to be a threat and a danger.

This is only part of the story. The real reason above all others, Hamas still exists is that the money flow is better than ever. Everyone knows that a group of countries got together including 212 million dollars from the U.S. via Secretary Kerry and raised 4.5 Billion dollars for the "reconstruction of Gaza". What most people don't know is that Hamas is a multi-billion dollar business in graft. Hamas grew from a 150 million dollar budget in 2007 when it took over Gaza to one billion dollars in 2012. Hamas taxed everything and anything that moved, from import taxes on smuggled cars to Falafel stands. Its annual revenue from 1200 smuggling tunnels into Egypt was 175 million dollars. It made its greatest profit smuggling gasoline from Egypt.

One of the Hamas tycoons who became top tier wealthy is Ismail Haniyeh who is the Hamas "Mob" Boss. He recently purchased a home for four million dollars. Khaled Mashaal head of Hamas Trerror Political Wing lives in a five star Hotel in Qatar. His fortune  is estimated at $2.5 Billion. Hamas and its affiliated Muslim Brotherhood's major Donor is Qatar. Two years ago Qatar spent 400 million dollars for a reconstruction project in Gaza. Cement purchased with this money ended up building Terror Tunnels. This was done under everyone's noses. No doubt the same will occur with the $4.5 Billion pledged including one Billion from Qatar. Stop the flow of cash to Hamas, and Hamas will cease to exist.

There are two additional factors that have allowed Hamas to remain standing. One is Al Jazeera which is based in Qatar and acts as a Hamas Front. Many of its reporters are Hamas or Hamas supporters. Some "real news" is mixed in on Al Jazeera to give it credibility but make no mistake about it, Al Jazeera  is helping Hamas stay alive. The last but not least reason is that CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) is also a Hamas Front. It ran a criminal global money-laundering scheme that  funneled money to Hamas from American Donors. The bottom line is that Hamas can be vanquished once and for all if men of good faith and reason would shut down the cash flow once and for all.
