What They Mean By 'Resistance' and What We Mean

We are informed

The Palestinian resistance has carried out three operations against the Israeli army Saturday night in the West Bank as the ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians came to an end Friday, Al Araby Al Jadeed news agency reported.

The first incident is reported near the town of Qalqilya, in the northern West Bank where the Palestinian resistance fighters shot at an Israeli military vehicle that was passing near the area.

In Al-Bireh town, in the central West Bank, local sources reported hearing gunfire towards the Israeli Psagot settlement where a Palestinian young man, Muhammad al- Qatari from the Al- Amari refugee camp adjacent to the settlement was killed by the Israeli army two days ago.

I am not sure all these actions of glorified self-promoting heroism actually happened, or occurred they way they are described (like here.or here).

These were confirmed:-

Al-Aqsa Brigades opens fire on Qalandia, injuring Israeli soldiers
Published Saturday 26/07/2014

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- The Fatah-affiliated Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade early Thursday claimed responsibility for opening fire on Israeli forces at Qalandia checkpoint, launching a gun battle that they say wounded a number of Israeli soldiers.

And a shooting at the Rechalim junction on July 21 with one wounded.

This, too, from today:

An Arab terrorist was apprehended Sunday morning, after he tried to infiltrate the Binyamin area community of Beit El, located to the north of Jerusalem in Samaria, armed with a makeshift gun.

The Arabs cannot but wage an "armed struggle" for that is their defining essence, the basis of their so-called nationalism, the negative of Zionism.  They have even, with others, pushed to the fore a "right of resistance", defined by one so;

People are free and equal; equality is not the effect but the premise of action. Whatever denies this simple truth creates a right and duty of resistance.

and there is this from Foucault who posits:

a new economy of power relations...which implies more relations between theory and practice. It consists of taking the forms of resistance against different forms of power as a starting point

All this is claptrap, of course, mainly because it denies Jews and Zionism the same equality to define for itself the powers against which it can resist, the Arab occupation, for example, of the Land of Israel.

Zionism is also resistance. Resistance against the corrupting influence of Exile, Galut.  Resistance against the anti-Semitism that the nations of the world prefer to continue its corrosive influence.  Resistance against cosmopolitism, progressivism and other debilitating ideologies. Resistance against Arab terror.

Resist we will.
