Barack Obama and John Kerry, in another strange public show of disdain for Israel, have announced a $47 million gift to the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations in Gaza. France quickly followed suit. Not wanting to miss a chance to show their anti-Israel bonafides, France rushed to promise an additional $14.8 million.
Yes, I know, the aid has been couched in the guise of "humanitarian aid", but is there really any doubt about who is in charge in Gaza? Does any honest person trust the Islamic terrorist organizations to distribute band-aids and bottled water to the children of Gaza? As any Hamas terrorist will tell you in a candid moment, the money will serve the urgent humanitarian need of repairing the damage that those "disproportionate Israelis" have done to the weapons and terrorist-smuggling tunnels. But that's not all. The funds will also be used for the noble humanitarian purpose of fixing the rocket-launching pads that have been impaired during the conflict.
History has shown that Hamas, not to mention its more "moderate" Fatah partner in the Palestinian Authority, has always used humanitarian aid for its evil military purpose - to kill as many Israeli children as possible and to psychologically traumatize as many Israeli children as possible. As opposed to Israel that gives top priority to civilian needs in a time of war, such as bomb shelters and civil defense, the Islamic terrorists have always exploited foreign aid to build rockets and tunnels and military summer camps for young children. While our children learn how to swim, theirs learn to use AK-47 assault rifles and to give the Nazi salute.
Obama and Kerry, as the leaders of the free world, have inadvertently exposed their true colors by standing with the enemies of Israel in these difficult days. Friends of Israel don't give millions in support to the enemy of an American ally in a time of war.
