Tunnel vision is certainly dangerous especially if we are concerned about the future safety of the Jewish people.  There is no doubt that the safety of the Jewish Nation depends on the continued safety and security of the State of Israel. Recently an enormous tunnel was exposed and this is definelty important and imperative to the safety of our soldiers and civilians.

How unfortunate it is that the enormous tunnels are not exposed or even worse- ignored! Which tunnels am I referring to?  The tunnel vision of the dangerous precedents of governments of Israel to ignore the reality of the results of the Oslo Accords and the continuing determination of Israel to keep endangering our security.

Take for example the refusal of Israel to accept the results of the withdrawal of Israel from Gaza and the northern Shomron and the destruction of thriving successful communities, the heartbreaking removal of our loved ones from their graves in Gush Katif, destruction of synagogues, communiites, successful agriculture - and for what???? How many attacks from Gaza?  How much suffering - not only our families who were brutally ripped from their lives and livilhood- but the entire south and even further than that is now in danger.

The refusal of the governments of Israel to relate to the basic compliance of these "tunnel vision" agreements- for the PA to cease the incitement both verbal and physical against Israel.  To demand that the PA "leadership" stops calling brutal terrorist murderers "martyrs and heroes".

To stop destroying Jewish communities and start doing what the government of Israel is supposed to do; protect the heritage of Israel- our Torah, our Land and our people.

I wish to quote someone who was also a settler- someone who deserves the credit for his determination to protect the Jewish people by bringing them home and settling the Land,

"No Jew is at liberty to surrender the right of the Jewish Nation and the Land of Israel to exist.  No Jewish body is sanctioned to do so.

No Jew alive today has the authority to yield any piece of Land whatsoever.  This right is preserved by the Jewish People throughout the generations and canot be forfeited under any circumstance.

Even if at some given time there will be those who declare that they are relinquishing this right, they have neither the power nor the jurisdiction to negate for future generations to come.  The Jewish Nation is neither obligated by nor responsible for any waiver such as this.

Our right to this Land, in its entirety is steadfast, inalienable and eternal.  And until the Great Redemption we shall never yield this historic right."

David Ben-Gurion speech to the 21st Zionist Congress - Basil 1937

It is time for the governments of Israel to fulfill their responsiblity as said in this speech and not relinquish our Land especially with the knowledge and experience of what the enemy does when Israel does not protect the Nation.
