Yehudit Tayar
B"H Yehudit Tayar lives with her family in Bet Horon in the Benjamin Region for over 30 years, serves as an emergency first response medic, sits on the Board of Directors of Hatzalah Yehudah and Shomron, and is one of the spokespeople of the Jewish pioneers in Yesha. ...

I come from a long line of pioneers- today called "settlers"- sadly with intent to brand us as "obstacles to peace".  My fathers family came back- yes back- to our Land in 1823 and settled in Safed.

This Shabbat we will learn the chapter of our Holy Torah that give us the ultimate, unalienable right to settle our Land in the chapter "Lech-Lecha". "And the L-rd appeared to Avram, and said, "To thy seed will I give this Land." (Bereshit/Gensesis 12:7).

I have the privilege of working to protect our Land and people and one of the most successful ways of doing this is by taking people out and showing them the truth- showing for example in Hevron that 97% of the City of our Fathers is under Arab control and only 3% under Jewish.  It never fails to shock people when you take them out and show the truth- so If my friends and I can do this why can't the Israeli governments do the same?

More than 20 years has passed since the signing of the Oslo Accords and nothing has changed.  Not the continuing violence directed against us -both physical and verbal by the very heads of the Palestinian Authority. Hatred is taught officially both in their schools and by them making "martyrs " out of the terrorist murderers.

Our Nation is unafraid of a long way and we shall continue until we reach the longed for situation in our Land when we can live, build, raise our families and protect our Torah, our Land and our people.

In the meantime we, the simple people will continue to show the truth by showing it on the ground and by writing and breaking the silence.
