Why did the terrorist who attacked a soldier this Friday in Beit-El turn himself in?

Debbe Sinkovitz Weinglass gives the answer on Facebook:

The terrorist will receive an air-conditioned and heated cell, with a TV and computer, free medical and dental care, a free BA and MA, good healthy food, visitation rights with his wife and family and the PA will pay him and his family a nice monthly salary. We Israelis will be forced to pay for this fancy "prison" vacation home. He will be celebrated as a hero.
And the terrorists will have the last laugh on Israel. So why wouldn't he turn himself in for all of these wonderful freebies.

His care in prison will be better than a senior citizen of Israel, who barely has money for food and medical care.

When I retire, maybe I will decide to go to this fancy retirement home.
