According to several news sources, Israel has now admitted to having collected the bodies of the terrorists who were killed when a terror tunnel that led from Gaza into Israel was demolished last week. In an ironic twist, Hamas has turned to Israel's High Court to demand permission to go in and try to find the bodies. This is rather amusing, given that the terrorist organization's leaders claim not to recognize Israel.

And so, what we have here is an organization demanding that the justice system of a country they don't recognize should act on their behalf to force the government to allow them to go digging for bodies that aren't in the tunnels anymore.

In a normal world, the two sides would realize that each has the other's captives - dead bodies, etc. and logic would dictate a trade. you get your dead terrorists and give us our much loved sons back. Let their families have closure. The problem is that putting the word Normal and Hamas in the same sentence rarely works.

What is likely to happen, therefore, is that Hamas will resort to rockets and potentially an increase in terror attacks (or at least the attempt to perpetrate attacks. And that's where our leader comes in. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has a choice. He can laugh at finally getting Hamas over a barrel, as they have done to us for years, or he can surrender, as he did with Gilad Shalit.

Hamas wants the bodies back - there is absolutely no reason to trade live terrorists serving in prison for the bodies of our soldiers - I believe even the families have not requested this. What they want, what they deserve, is the deal that has not yet been set up. Dead for dead. Bodies for bodies. They will want more but the fact that they are asking, that they are pursuing gives us, finally, the chance to set our own conditions of what is acceptable and what is not.

We have already learned, not that we doubted it, that when you release terrorists who are alive, they return to their terrorist ways. This cannot be said of the dead - so we can easily release as many dead bodies as we want.

Give them 1,000 dead terrorists to retrieve our two dead soldiers. The price will be well worth it and given their insistence on continuing the violence, whatever grave sites we have allocated for their dead will likely fill up quickly enough.

But, Bibi - there can be no more trading live terrorist, even to return our dead. And certainly, we must not return their dead without receiving ours.

The stage has been set and the world is watching. Israel cannot afford to appear weak and weakness would be the only reason for returning their dead without receiving ours in return.

Stand firm, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Stand firm. All of Israel is behind you. Don't let us down!
