Just when you thought they couldn?t get stupider, they do.

My friend called saying that he was served with an order from the Israeli army to demolish his dogs? doghouse. He has 11 watchdogs that guard the perimeter of Tapuach. The small doghouse keeps the dogs shaded from the ferocious midday sun.

It?s one thing to throw out Israeli citizens who serve loyally in the Israeli army and who pay their taxes. It?s a palatable painful concession to make their small children not only homeless, but also more vulnerable to attack. After all, they are only Jews.

But forcing dogs that serve their entire lives to protect Israeli citizens to be bereft of a doghouse is inexcusable. We have to draw a line somewhere. These dogs put their lives on the line daily for the government of Israel. The least they are entitled to is a doghouse.

We must emulate Emma Parks, who sparked the civil rights movement one hot summer day in a Montgomery, Alabama bus when she told the bus driver ?I ain?t movin?.? She unwittingly coined the battle cry of the civil rights movement in the United States.

Despite honoring the Equal Rights Amendment and the Civil Rights Act, United States spin-doctors have swept under the carpet the illegal racism inherent in the Arabs? prerequisite for opening negotiations for peace: the removal of Jews (not necessarily Israelis) from parts of the Biblical Israel, in the West Bank. There never has been any objection to a Moslem Israeli Arab to remain in any portion of the West Bank. Never has any Christian who is a full-fledged Israeli citizen been forcibly removed from Bethlehem. No, it?s not about Israelis; it?s about Jews. Do your own search and see the frequency that the United States voices objection to ?illegal Jewish settlements? as opposed to ?illegal Israeli settlements.? Ethiopian Jews who live in small communities in mobile homes are forcibly removed. In contrast, no Black priest who is an Israeli citizen has ever been asked to vacate Bethlehem. No Black Muslim who is an Israeli citizen has ever been removed from a Jenin mosque.

If racism is back in vogue, if two peoples must have two countries, then it should not be illegal in Israel to advocate the forcible removal of all Israeli-Arabs to Area A. Israeli law should not prohibit advocating the deportation of someone like MK Achmed Tibi, who openly claims to be a loyal Palestinian and who continuously strove to advise Yasser Arafat during the intifada on how best to manipulate the Israelis. If two hundred thousand Jews cannot live where there is an Arab majority, our government should not prohibit voicing the corollary, that one million Arabs cannot live where there is a Jewish majority. Furthermore, as no Israeli Arab serves in the Israeli army after over fifty years of full citizenship, one should be allowed to give voice to the opinion that Arabs (not Bedouin or Druse) are an albatross around the neck of the Israelis and drain their economy.

Furthermore, if Jewish dogs must go homeless, Arab dogs should likewise.

So, next time you visit the West Bank, look for the sign posting the warning ?NO JEWS, NIGGERS, or JEW-DOGS.? When George W. Bush sends his advisors to contain the Jews, this sign should be waived in their faces.

And Jew-dogs must be permitted to exercise their inalienable civil rights to give voice to their legitimate battle cry, ?We aint movin?, in orderly, legal demonstrations in front of Sharon?s house and in front of the American Embassy.

And watch where you step. Unlike Jews, dogs dump back.
