The Omar Stain: Mom, baseball, and anti-Semitism
The Omar Stain: Mom, baseball, and anti-Semitism

That used to define us. It was the American Way – Mom, baseball, and apple pie.

Who figured anti-Semitism and ISIS, as personified through Rep. Ilhan Omar, into the mix? Or who figured anti-Semitism to be her apple pie?

Truly, every time she opens her mouth she leaves the entire country with a taste of bad breath.

Before she came along, those were the clean-living virtues (or ideals) that separated us from the swarms of low-lives that populated the hell-holes around the globe. (See Somalia.)

What a dump! as Bette Davis would say.

We were different.

We were the good guys. We were the cowboys in “Shane and “High Noon” and we were there when our kid brother Israel needed help from the bullies in the neighborhood.

Other than that, we’d rather play ball and envy the Phillies for landing Bryce Harper. That’s the way we were.

But then the Islamic veil came to town, certainly to Minneapolis, Minnesota…home to some 80,000-100,000 Somalis from where sprung this Omar. Doesn’t sound like my kind of town, Minneapolis. Nothing personal, but if they’re all like Omar, I’ll pass. In a way, so did HBO, in case you haven’t heard.

HBO was set to make a movie written by rapper K’naan Warsame, directed by Kathryn Bigelow, to be named “Mogadishu, Minnesota.” No kidding. Their title. Not mine.

Who would want Mogadishu in Minnesota or anywhere?

Anyway, the deal was dropped seemingly because the Somali residents were afraid that getting so close to home might stir up thoughts of Islamic terrorism…or…dual loyalties.

Yes, dual loyalties, Ms. Omar.

Those fears were well-founded. Read the following carefully and absorb.

Attorney Scott W. Johnson did the digging and found that, “A Sept. 2015 report from a House Homeland Security task force revealed that Minnesota led all states in contributing foreign fighters to ISIS.” Well, hello. Tells you something about Ilhan Omar and where she’s coming from…and where she’s going in our Congress.

Or to put it another way – what is that person, a likely ISIS operative, doing in our Congress?

Other than to bully the Jews, I don’t know, as she tag-teams together with that other bargain, “Dearbornistan’s” Rashida Tlaib.

That’s another movie that won’t get done for reasons known to “Mogadishu, Minnesota.”

Assuming that all are good Americans, how did those two escape the nest to become a stain on our country? Their values are not our values…and they won’t shut up.

Anti-Semitism used to be shameful, here in America. When did it become popular…and so fast…and mostly from just these two twerps, Omar/Tlaib.

Hardly anyone from among the Democrats offers a word of rebuke.
Back home in the old country they’d be horse-whipped for speaking out of turn. But here, they get to hold press conferences. (Don’t miss out on this thriller for all that.)

Their words are respectfully printed and aired and hardly anyone from among the Democrats offers a word of rebuke.

That is finally, reluctantly, changing. They’re in a panic. Pelosi and some other Dems are initiating a resolution condemning anti-Semitism. Too late. The poison has spread.

“You Give Us A Bad Rep.” runs the front page banner in the newsstand edition of The New York Post regarding Omar.

Speaking of bad Reps…New York’s Ocasio-Cortez, the chatterbox babe in wonderland, has come out to defend Omar, and that makes three witches over the same anti-Semitic brew.

As meanwhile, two Jewish Congressmen, Schiff and Nadler, remain silent and afraid. (Engel has spoken up, but without heat.)

They are too busy with committee hearings intended to derail and destroy Trump, while ignoring the more immediate clear and present danger – anti-Semitism getting out of hand.

Where are the good guys? Where are the cowboys?
