If all men are rotten – then what?

Remarkably, a Hollywood scandal that makes everyone look bad.

If all men are rotten – then what?

Only a few weeks ago all men were heroes. The hurricanes in Texas and Florida brought out the best in us, according to a well-known feminist whose name slips my mind, but anyway, thank you for the compliment. Look who comes to the rescue, she said. Look at the people who risk their lives to serve as first responders – nearly all of them MEN.

Can I get me a Halleluiah?  Not so fast.

A few weeks ago, yes, but feels more like a million years ago because all of a sudden, thanks to Harvey Weinstein, all men are rotten.

Overnight we’ve become predators and even rapists if you listen to Emma Thompson as I did over at the BBC….all of us…same brush…same boat.

She hates men. She really does.

Altogether It’s Springtime for the radical Feminist movement. They’ve been waiting for something like this. Oh yes they have.

Years ago the mother of them all, Gloria Steinem, rallied her Sisters like this – “A woman needs a man like a fish need a bicycle.”

But who ya gonna call when there’s a mouse in the house? Never mind.

Men are useless, hopeless, HARMFUL – one and all. That’s the chatter all over the newsprint and the airwaves.

Liberals, of all people, are the ones who hate us the most, and yet they’re the ones doing most of it when it comes to perversion. Statistically so.

It is the culture, stupid, and it is amazing how swiftly our culture shifts from one crisis to the next.
Do I have to mention Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary who served as his enabler and now…NOW speaks as our moral conscience?

Which brings us to women. But they’re not doing so well either. They knew what was going on. But kept silent. The biggest stars. They let their sisters down.

Don’t blame Hollywood. Whatever happens there, happens everywhere. It is the culture, stupid, and it is amazing how swiftly our culture shifts from one crisis to the next. Only months ago I was reading the brilliant Camille Paglia, a feminist with a brain, who was lamenting the harm done to men by avenging feminists. They’ve emasculated us. Turned us into a nation of wimps.

That was June. This is October, and now, snap, we are macho – a term now terribly out of style.

But overall, this particular cultural crisis is the worst I ever seen – ever. There has never been anything like this, a Hollywood scandal which makes everybody look bad. Nobody wins. Politically every side has been tainted. Nearly every individual in the business has been collared.

For Liberals especially there is no refuge.

With all eyes on Hollywood and upon the entire entertainment industry, this may be a good time for Leonardo DiCaprio to clam it on global warming.

We don’t need the lecture, not at a time when we find so many in the business sharing the same (Leftist) hypocrisy as exposed through the HW scandal.

Nor would the timing be quite right for more Trump bashing from Alec Baldwin and Seth Myers and Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.

The moralizing tones from all of them, starting up from Meryl Streep down to Ashley Judd, have as much authority as a dog barking, now that we know how they collapse in the clutch. George Clooney posturing for illegal immigrants – now’s the time to invite then into his own home, or shut up.

Soul searching rather than its sanctimonious finger pointing might be the best bet if Hollywood is to recover from this biggest scandal since Fatty (Roscoe) Arbuckle.

Robert De Niro – does he still “want to punch Trump in the face?”

Good golly, Robert, but that is so macho.
