Tzipi Livni's Obsession Against "Settlers"
Tzipi Livni's Obsession Against "Settlers"

Does she not know that from this population on which she so vehemently spews her invective, have come a greatly disproportionate number of officers in the IDF?
Justice Minister Tzipi Livni is on a new rampage. Just a few short weeks after the bitter failure of her latest passion – the 'peace process' negotiations with the Fatah-Hamas terrorists that comprise the Palestinian Authority - she is once again adhering to the motto that the best defense is a good offense.

Citing the few incidents of “price tag” vandalism of army vehicles, allegedly carried out by some fringe hotheads in Judea and Samaria, Livni has now gone on record slandering all of the hundreds of thousands of idealistic law-abiding Jews living in these areas, as well as their supporters.

In defense of her blatant failure as the Israeli government’s chief peace negotiator, Livni went on the offensive, blasting “those who rightly denounce 'Price Tag,' but will do everything to find every loophole and political weakness in order to keep us from a diplomatic solution, and do so while mortally wounding the world's relations with Israel.”

She goes on to say that  “What began as love of the land has now partly turned into a wild west sown with hatred toward Arabs and toward the rule of law and its representatives – be they dressed in judges' robes, police uniforms or IDF uniforms.”

To plaster with a broad brush an entire segment of the population for the alleged actions of a few individuals is not only the height of chutzpah, but is outright bigotry towards some of the most dedicated Zionists in Israel. Does she not know that from this population on which she so vehemently spews her invective, have come a greatly disproportionate number of officers in the IDF? Is the esteemed Justice Minister unaware that the heartland communities have suffered the vast brunt of shooting and firebomb attacks perpetrated by Livni’s 'peace partners'?

Such bigotry is shameful, whatever its target. Given the increase in rapes and other attacks in the streets of Ms. Livni’s hometown of Tel Aviv, would it be proper to criticize all the residents of  Tel Aviv with hatred towards women, towards innocent pedestrians, towards joggers, and other victims of such attacks? Perhaps the Justice Minister herself should be investigated for such street crimes in her city?

Let’s call a spade a spade. The peace process has failed because for the past 50 years, we as a nation have been banging our proverbial “land for peace” heads against the wall in a wild messianic pursuit of a new Middle East, of which Tzippi Livni is a prominent wild-eyed proponent.  Since the expulsion from Gaza and northern Samaria in 2005, this mystical promoter of “peace at all costs” has staked her political career on the suicidal concept of Israeli surrender of its most strategic and historic lands to an armed band of Islamic terrorists.

Rather than walking back home to north Tel Aviv with her head bowed in shame, as she should if she has any of measure of humility in her character, she continues to attack those who have been proven right by her latest failure.

Perhaps this dangerous politician needs to be sent home before she does more damage to her country’s vital interests and before more lives are lost in her wild pursuit of a false peace with those who wish to destroy us.
