The Anthedon seaport, the oldest port of Gaza with a continuous history from 800 B.C. to 1100 A.D., with Roman ruins, Hellenistic and Persian constructions, was in 2012 designated an international heritage site by UNESCO (UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization). A few days ago, the military wing of Hamas, Izz ad-Din al-Qassan Brigades, destroyed part of the harbor to expand its military training in the area.
And UNESCO stood silent.
Is this the same UN agency to which Israel just granted a historic role in the supervision of the old city of Jerusalem? In a mad and suicidal deal, Israel has agreed to allow UNESCO to inspect sites in Jerusalem, expecially the Temple Mount, in exchange for the postponing of five Palestinian-sponsored resolutions critical of Israel.
UNESCO is pursuing a diabolical Arabized geography which opens the door to a Jüdenrein Judea, a de-Judaized “holy land”.
Under Israel-UN deal, the Old City of Jerusalem and its walls will continue to be listed by UNESCO as “endangered” World Heritage sites! This is the biggest lie that refused to die and it can inflame the region.
Irina Bokova, head of UNESCO, sent a message to the Palestinian Authority “on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People”, in which she proclaims the support for "the Palestinian cultural industry" (!).
UNESCO has adopted the Arab-Islamic propaganda and declared that Rachel’s Tomb and Hevron’s Cave of the Patriarchs are “Muslim mosques”. In a report on science, UNESCO forcibly converted the Jewish physician Maimonides to Islam posthumously, calling him “Moussa ben Maimoun”.
Does Israel really need the approval of this corrupted and evil agency?
UNESCO's robber barons are sanctifying the global campaign aimed liquidating the legitimacy of the Israeli regime.
In 2009, UNESCO designated Jerusalem as “capital of Arab culture,” working with Palestinian Authority officials to protest against what they described as “the Israeli occupation of Holy Jerusalem".
During the Second Intifada, UNESCO condemned Israel for “the destruction and damage caused to the cultural heritage in the Palestinian territories” as “a crime against the common cultural heritage of humanity.”
However, UNESCO remained silent when a Palestinian mob destroyed Joseph’s tomb, the third major Jewish religious shrine, and built a mosque on the site.
UNESCO's own intifada goes back to November 20, 1974, when under Arab pressure, UNESCO voted to exclude Israel from any regional group.
In 2001, UNESCO promoted the “Cairo Declaration Document for Jerusalem Antiquities Preservation,” which falsely accused Israel of destroying Islamic antiquities on the Temple Mount - this accusation an attempt to divert attention from massive Palestinian Arab crimes against archeology and history.
The Palestinian Arabs want also to use UNESCO to prohibit and restrict Jews from worshipping at Hevron’s Tomb of the Patriarchs. In the Arab "International Committee for the preservation and the promotion of the Old City of Hevron” you find also Boutros Boutros-Ghali, former Secretary-General of the United Nations and Federico Mayor, former Director of UNESCO.
UNESCO funds Hitlerism in the Arab world. Zayzafuna, the Palestinian Authority magazine for children, included an essay submitted by a teenage girl in which Adolf Hitler is presented as a positive figure to be admired, because he killed Jews in order to benefit the world.
Since August 2011, the magazine is financed by UNESCO and the MDG Achievement Fund, another UN foundation funded by the Spanish government.
In the Palestinian textbooks funded by UNESCO, "Palestine” is shown to encompass all the Jewish State, the Jewish holy sites (such as the Temple Mount) have been erased, and Arab “martyrdom” is praised. In these texts, Jews are described as “cunning”, “locusts” and “wild animals”.
UNESCO, in 2003, financed the renovation of the Alexandria library, where a copy of the anti-Semitic booklet “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” was soon prominently displayed.
I can go on with this detailed list of cultural assassinations, but it is enough to understand that UNESCO is one of the most active soureS of anti-Semitism in the world. Why did the Israeli authorities choose to capitulate to this despicable institution? Why did the Israeli government hand the keys of Jerusalem's heart to the UN?
By grantng UNESCO's wish, Israel boosted the Palestinian cultural Intifada. The Jews have to stop playing according to their enemies’ ever-ready guillotine. Otherwise, Israel has no chance to win this centennial war.
Under the Israel-UNESCO deal, the Temple Mount is a more desolate and abandoned place. For now, the proto-Nazi Palestinian Arabs are winning the war to rewrite history.
