CASSIUS: Tell me, good Brutus, can you see your face?
BRUTUS: No, Cassius; for the eye sees not itself,
But by reflection, by some other things.
(Julius Caesar, by William Shakespeare)
One could opine that United States Secretary of State John Kerry was on LSD when he likened the Islamic genocidal terroristic murders of the Boston Marathon to the acts of self-defense by Israeli soldiers boarding the Turkish civilian“warship” Mavi Marmara.
During a press conference in Istanbul on April 21, 2013, Secretary Kerry stated the following about Turkish anger at the 2010 Incident:
"I know it's an emotional issue with some people. I particularly say to the families of people who were lost in the incident we understand these tragedies completely and we sympathize with them. And nobody - I mean, I have just been through the week of Boston and I have deep feelings for what happens when you have violence and something happens and you lose people that are near and dear to you. It affects a community, it affects a country. We're very sensitive to that." [emphasis added]
But Secretary Kerry wasn’t on LSD, he only stated his true feelings about Israel. And, his true feeling are vile. But he did not speak them as his personal feelings. Kerry spoke them as the Secretary of State of United States of America.
What Kerry has shown is that Kerry despises Israel’s attempts to protect itself. And Kerry despises Israel’s self-defense, not only from tactical attacks by a ship loaded with bat wielding Islamic murderous terrorists, but also from attacks by strategic genocidal-Iranians armed with nuclear weapons.
As an interlude, it is only fair to quote Secretary Kerry about his own war crimes. On NBC’s Meet the Press in 1971, Kerry was asked whether he had personally committed atrocities in Vietnam. He responded:
"There are all kinds of atrocities, and I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50 caliber machine guns, which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people. I took part in search and destroy missions, in the burning of villages.
"All of this is contrary to the laws of warfare, all of this is contrary to the Geneva Conventions and all of this is ordered as a matter of written established policy by the government of the United States from the top down. And I believe that the men who designed these, the men who designed the free fire zone, the men who ordered us, the men who signed off the air raid strike areas, I think these men, by the letter of the law, the same letter of the law that tried Lieutenant Calley, are war criminals."
Kerry’s words in Ankara are only a pathological expression of Kerry’s perverted belief of his owns sins. They don’t reflect Israel’s brave actions of self-defense, but of Kerry’s tormented soul. Kerry does not see himself, but he sees his reflection in other things, notably Israel.
But, there is deeper, more pernicious issue. Secretary Kerry’s excoriating words in Ankara have only proven Kerry doesn’t believe in President Obama’s soothing comforting words in Jerusalem. Kerry’s promises that “America will back 'Israel’s risks for Peace''' or that “America will prevent an Iranian nuclear bomb” are pure bunkum. .
Yes, Kerry will whisper sweet nothings in Israel’s ears to coax it into redesignating strategic territory from Area “B” into Area “A.” But, when the genocidal Islamic terrorists fire their rockets into the purely civilian areas of Tel Aviv, Kerry will equate Israel’s existential defense to terroristic war crimes.
Nevertheless, there is a silver lining to Kerry’s speaking his pathological vision of his false “truth.” When Secretary Kerry talks “Peace Process” one thought will forever permeate every Israeli official’s mind: Kerry thinks the IDF=Islamic Boston Massacre Terrorists. Kerry will be to Israel, as Brutus was to Caesar.
Kerry will truly “have 'at' Israel’s back.” But, Kerry is an “honorable man.”
