Op-Ed: The Palestine Khouri Doesn't Know

      Published: Friday, October 12, 2012 9:56 AM
Khouri's oped in the Washington Post gets a clear and fact-filled rebuttal here. Will the WP print one?

Zahi Khouri’s opinion piece, The Palestine Romney doesn’t know, in the Washington Post, spews the same old mantras with the expectation that repeated falsehoods will become reality.

They continue the narrative that the Arabs living in Judea and Samaria were Palestinians for centuries before 1967, so that the world will put a judenrein Israel in their control, complete with the beauty, wealth, ingenuity, and successes of its current residences.

As Governor Romney stated during the first Presidential Debate in Denver, “I’m used to [my sons’] saying something that’s not always true, but just keep on repeating it and ultimately hoping I’ll believe it – but that is not the case.”

Jews have been a presence in Sumer and Egypt from the “dawn of history,” for 5,000 years to the present – 1,000 years before Islam and more than 2,500 years before Arab nations appeared. They were an influential society with their own identity, a surplus food supply, common language, writing/art, specialization of labor, laws of governance, and a class system. As slaves, they built the pyramids; as free men they built their own homes, tended their own olive groves and herded their flocks.

Ninety percent of the world’s Jews lived where there are now Islamic countries, yet have never insisted that Egypt, Iraq or Morocco be theirs.

The Arabs destroyed lands to create their own Islamic regimes. They did not accept the land apportioned them at the end of the British Mandate,
Romney:“I’m used to [my sons’] saying something that’s not always true, but just keep on repeating it and ultimately hoping I’ll believe it – but that is not the case.”
cannot live in peace and harmony, and continue to wage war against others and among themselves.

The myths to which Khouri and the Palestinians adhere are merely a psychological strategy used in tandem with violence.

Muslims killed 270 million people over 1400 centuries, throughout the Middle East and from India to Africa to Europe. Muslims have conducted 19,724 terrorist attacks since September 11, 2001, against five religions in 62 countries, all the while claiming eternal victimhood and living as scroungers off the handouts from the rest of the world.

Israel may be the cause célèbre, but it is far from being the only target in the Muslim sights.

Overwhelming documentation exists concerning Muslim conquests, the most authoritative of which being their own, for the purpose of spreading Islam through brutal invasion. They overcame the Middle East – Syria in around 636 C.E.; Egypt, 641; Mesopotamia and the Persian Empire, 650. By the eighth century C.E., Islam had conquered north Africa, Spain, lands of central Asia and India; and centuries later, Indonesia, Somalia and eastern Europe. The Islamic world’s religious duty is to wage jihad until they Islamize the globe.

Khouri insists that Israel stole Palestinian land and culture, when a sovereign Palestine or culture never existed. “Palestine,” is a Latin term for the overall territory that was home to Jews and Arabs. Roman Emperor Hadrian pointedly replaced the name of Provincia Judea with Provincia Syria Palaestina, after the Jews’ bibical enemy, the Philistines, an Aegean people, to drive in Roman conquest of the Jews.

Most of the Arabs in the area came from the surrounding Arab countries during the late 1800s/early 1900s, attracted by Jewish industriousness of restoring their homeland, economic prosperity, employment and a higher standard of living.

Khouri’s family was likely among them, identifiable by their surname: Khouri or Khoury is Lebanese or Syrian, and means (Christian) priest. He is not from a country or culture that never existed.

Jerusalem was established in 1000 BCE, 1642 years before the advent of Muhammed. Hevron comes from Hebrew. Gaza is Canaanite/Hebrew. Nablus was Shechem, the chief city of Samaria and capital of the kingdom of Israel, renamed Neapolis by the Roman emperor Vespasian, and mispronounced by the Palestinian Arabs who cannot say a "p" sound, including their self-chosen name.

Ramallah is Arab from the 6th century when the Arabs persecuted the Christian occupants and the Christians fled. The Arabs were colonizers, not indigenous, with no national identity. The migrant tribes from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, etc., use a false "Palestinian" narrative to establish an identity and history for the purpose of dominating the entire region.

The article contained the timeworn accusation that Palestinian Arabs were forced to leave Israel in 1948. When five Arab nations invaded to destroy the new state of Israel, Israel encouraged the resident Arabs to stay and become citizens of Israel. Those who did and their descendants make up the two million Muslim citizens living with full civil rights in Israel today. Those who fled did so of their own choosing or at the urging of their warring generals who promised victory. They were not victorious and wound up with less territory than they would have received had they accepted the partition agreement. They were counseled to refuse and became bargaining pawns for the Arabs.

Khouri wrote “as millions flee conflict around the globe to this day,” another dishonest statement. Today, the Muslim population is not fleeing, but seeking to take up residency and eventual control in other countries – another jihad strategy.

In Africa, the invasons are violent: taking slaves, killing Christians who will not convert to Islam, burning churches, and destroying antiquities to replace with their mosques of conquest.

In Europe, the takeover is by numbers, a growing immigrant population demanding accommodations from the host country, threatening the populace, and Jews are again leaving for safer harbors.

Muslims are waging a civilizational jihad in the United States, infiltrating and influencing our government, policies here and internationally, to control the laws of the United Nations.

The writer refers to Palestinian Arabs persecuted by their brethren, another way to perpetrate jihad by keeping the Palestinian Arabs homeless to enforce a case against Israel. The Muslims did not absorb their own 600,000 who were made homeless in order to preserve a victimhood status, stimulate pity, instigate wrath against Israel, continue a parasitic existence off generous funding from UNWRA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) until they crush Israel.

The “humanitarian aid” continues long after the refugees are replaced by their descendants and provides financial support for terrorists.

The Washington Post omits information about the 890,000 Jews who faced the Arab countries’ program of persecution and oppression, seizing Jewish assets (valued at $6 billion today), their bank accounts, their businesses, and forcing them to flee to safer lands. Most of the Arab Jews were absorbed into Israel and now comprise half of Israel’s Jewish population; others went to the US and France.

Rather than wallow in self-imposed prisons or receive compensation for their plight and losses, they are part of Israel’s productive, thriving society. However, the Camp David peace talks of 2000 was supposed to establish an international fund to compensate both refugee societies and resolution for both refugee problems.

For The Washington Post to eschew bringing another view, particularly for such an explosive issue, seems a serious breach of journalistic ethics. Khouri’s “opinion” was a biased, sharia-compliant harangue of malice, myth, and propagranda for a jihad agenda, Rather than insist on providing the facts to explain the existing situation, The WP has encouraged and emboldened the Muslim culture to continue its efforts of hate and bloodlust.

Not only has the news provider done a disservice to its readers - unless it soon published a rejoinder - and to the democratic State of Israel, but it has given no encouragement to provide a solution for both peoples. What good could be accomplished when one gives free reign to jihad, in all its forms, in Israel, Europe and to our own United States – and I expect The Washington Post to stand on the side of decency and correctly cover the situation in its entirety. American media must not shun honor to become sharia-compliant!
