Learn the Book of Joshua, first book of the Early Prophets in the Tanach. Joshua became the leader of the Jewish people after Moses' death and led them into the Promised Land.

The writer is Director of Overseas Programming of Yeshivat Otniel, where he studied when it was established over 25 years ago and has an M.A. degree from Touro College. He made Aliyah to Israel with his family in 1974, is chairman of the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation.

He was faithful to HaShem, and in spite of his advanced age (85 years old), was quite determined to take part in settling the land.
He and his family were the first to settle a part of the land of Israel - Hevron.
