A 17-year-old girl was stabbed by the Arab man, as well as a 25-year-old Jewish man from the B'nei Menashe coimmunity, which immigrated to Israel from northern India. Both were rushed, together with the terrorist, to Hadassah Ein Karem hospital. The girl suffered light wounds, while the man is in moderate condition and the terrorist is critically wounded.
The wounded girl is a student in the 12th grade in Kiryat Arba. She lives in Tekoa, which is in eastern Gush Etzion.
Earlier Tuesday, two Arabs were caught with knives in two separate incidents and both admitted intending to stab Jews. One was caught near Hevron's Tomb of the Patriarchs and the other was apprehended outside Rachel's Tomb, in Bethlehem.
In response to the attacks, the Efrat and Gush Etzion action committees called for the immediate resignation of regional IDF Commander Yair Naveh. "The same Naveh that deployed thousands of troops in Amona in order to break the bones of Jewish youth, has reduced the number of soldiers assigned to defend the Gush Etzion Junction from Arab terrorists," said action committee member Nadia Matar of Women in Green. "We are paying in blood and Yair Naveh must go home."
