A Palestinian Authority resident was arrested by PA security forces over his friendship with an Israeli Knesset Member, the Arabic media outlet Ma’an reported on Sunday.

Muhammad Sabir Jabir, a resident of Hevron in Judea, was recently arrested by PA security forces.

The arrest came just days after Jabir hosted MK Yehuda Glick (Likud) at his home during the Eid al-Adha festival last week.

MK Glick publicized the gathering at Jabir’s house via Twitter, sharing photographs of himself with the Jabir family.

"Feast of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha) at home of my friend Muhammad Jabir in Hebron,” Glick wrote. “God willing we will all live here in peace. Happy Eid."

Members of the PA’s General Intelligence agency confirmed that Jabir’s arrest was a result of his having hosted the Likud MK.

The Ma’an report also claimed that members of Jabir’s family had “disassociated” themselves from him after the incident in question.
