Ten people were killed on Wednesday morning in an attack on the Iranian Parliament, after three gunmen reportedly entered the parliament building and opened fire.

The gunmen at approximately 10:15am charged at security officers guarding the Parliament's front gate, shooting them.

It is not yet clear who the gunmen were, or if they have hostages. Reports claim the three fled north immediately following the shooting.

The Parliament's gates have been closed to reporters, and several MPs are investigating the incident.

An additional shooting occurred on Wednesday morning at the Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini. One person was killed in the attack.

An unknown number of people were injured in the attacks.
