Kinneret rises half a centimeter per day

Near winter's end, Kinneret water level still 35 cm below lower red line, rainy weather expected to return on Thursday.

Rising at a rate of approximately half a centimeter per day, the Kinneret's (Sea of Galilee) level currently stands at 35 centimeters below the lower red line and 455 centimeters below the upper red line, which signals the lake is full.

On Sunday, the Kinneret's water level measured at 213 meters and 35 centimeters below sea level.

Rain is expected to return towards the end of the week.

Monday will be pleasant and partly cloudy, with average temperatures. Monday night will be clear or partly cloudy.

Tuesday is expected to be pleasant, with a slight rise in temperature in the lowlands, south, and along the coast. Strong eastern winds will blow in the more mountainous regions.

Wednesday will be pleasant and temperatures will be warmer than usual. Strong eastern winds will blow in Israel's north and center. Over the course of the day, a cold front will come in, bringing with it humidity and a temperature drop which will be felt mostly in the lowlands and along the coast.

Local rains are expected to fall in the north and along the coast on Wednesday night.

Thursday's weather will be partly cloudy, with light local rains. Temperatures will continue to drop until they become average for the season.
