An event co-sponsored by the Palestinian American Coalition (PAC) advertised MK Ahmed Tibi's (Arab Joint List) arrival to California with an image of the politician adjacent to the American and the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) flags. Also present was an image of the entire State of Israel, including Judea and Samaria, painted in the colors of the PLO flag.

The event, entitled “A Palestinian in the Knesset: Perspectives on identity, equality and advocacy for Palestine," described Tibi as the “Head of the Arab Movement for Change Party."

Despite claims by MK Tibi that he is interested in a political solution that would enable the Palestinians to establish a state with the 1949 Armistice line as a border, it seems he may be aimed at erasing Israel off the map completely.

The advertisement caught the attention of MK Anat Berko (Likud) who sharply attacked Tibi on her Facebook page saying that, "MK Ahmed Tibi repeatedly fools the Israeli public with the ‘gregarious’ character he adopted."

"Unfortunately, many people here are buying the bluff. To the Palestinian public here and around the world he portrays himself differently. An official US invitation with a map logo of ‘unified Palestine’ perched beside his smiling face is just a symbolic example of this."

“I wonder what the American public would think if he would come to the US to stay with the former adviser of (Osama) bin Laden," said Berko.

According to Nrg News, Tibi's office said that he “Spoke to members of the US Palestinian Community Center. With all due respect, we do not determine what will be on their invitation, their symbol and how they design the colors of their homeland, and there is a difference between a homeland and state."

"Tibi noted in his lecture that he and the Joint List shared support for a two-state vision that Netanyahu destroys every day with settlements painting the lives of the Palestinians in black. Netanyahu and the Israeli right lead the reality of a binational state. Let us know if you will get an answer from the Prime Minister to agree to draw the borders of the state.”
