The mother of one of the Jewish youth accused of involvement in the Duma arson last July collapsed Wednesday afternoon during a court hearing on her son's case.

Legal aid organization Honenu reported the mother was taken from the Petah Tikva Magistrates Court to nearby Beilinson Hospital.

She is currently undergoing preliminary tests in the hospital's emergency room.

Sources close to the family said the woman could no longer cope with the situation as reports continue of numerous indignities against the accused Jewish youths.

"Her son's condition worries her the most," the sources relayed. "After enduring interrogations and harassment from the Shin Bet, like other family members, she knows that if this is the behavior toward her, her son must be experiencing [...] much worse."

"It's hard to believe we're living in Israel in 2015," the sources added.
